We love it when we discover high quality bread makers at rock bottom prices.
And the Rosewill RHBM-15001 is just such a breadmaker: it offers lots of options for bread making while also having a price tag that won’t break the bank.
With a variety of baking settings, including gluten-free and whole wheat, it manages to rival some of the more pricy machines out there.
But, is it right for you? It’s not the most painless machine to use and does require the odd bit of troubleshooting every now and again.
Our Rosewill breadmaker review will let you know what this model has to offer and what the potential downsides are.
So, let’s get to it.

Features
The Rosewill programmable bread maker has a lot of the same features you would find on more expensive machines, so it’s able meet the needs of many different kinds of bakers, from those new to baking to more experienced bakers.
12 Digital Bake Settings
This machine can handle many different types of bakes.
If you bake a great deal, it provides the freedom to change up what kind of bread you make. If you are more of a casual baker, this machine could still be a good fit, because you can start with more basic settings and explore new breads and treats once you have a handle on the basics.
It also has 3 crust settings (light, medium, and dark), so you can choose the softness that best meets your personal preference.
Here are your options for different bake settings:
- Basic
- French
- Whole Wheat
- Quick
- Sweet
- Gluten-free
- Rapid Bake (Bakes in under an hour)
- Dough
- Jam
- Cake
- Sandwich
- Bake
As you can see from the settings, it gives you the option to bake a gluten-free loaf. Amazing at this price point!
Recipes for gluten-free bread are included with the manual, but you may want to branch out and look into other gluten-free baking books if you want to make a variety of breads.
Loaf Size Options
While some cheap bread makers only offer one loaf size, the Rosewill bread maker has both a 1.5 pound and 2 pound option.
This is a great option for individual bakers or bakers with large families, because it is easy to make a loaf that fits your needs size-wise.
Easy-to-Read Digital Display
You can use the digital menu to select whichever type of bake you wish to do.
You can also look at baking times using the “menu” selector, so you know how long your bread will need to bake. It sounds like a no-brainer, but you might be surprised how many machines don’t have the bake time in an easily accessible place.
Who wants to go rooting through the manual when you’ve got flour all over your hands?!
The buttons are also clearly labeled in a large font, so you’re able to see what selections you are making pretty clearly.
Viewing Window
It’s always fun to check in on your loaf of bread as it bakes.
There is a small viewing window on top of the Rosewill programmable breadmaker, so you can easily check in on its progress.
This is also useful if you have any worries about the bread baking evenly and whether all the ingredients are being well combined.
Fruit/Nut Dispenser
This feature can be used with all bake settings, including gluten-free.
This is a very attractive extra if you want to add something more to your breads.
Though there is one thing you may want to be aware of: the dispenser can be a little bit noisy and it usually gets triggered with every bake, even when the dispenser isn’t being used.
Dishwasher Safe Bread Pan
We all know that the clean-up is half the battle when baking at home.
Both the bread pan and the kneading blade are nonstick and dishwasher safe, which makes clean-up super easy with the Rosewill bread maker.
60-Minute Keep-Warm Function
The keep-warm function is really convenient if you want fresh bread, but aren’t able to take it right out of the breadmaker when it finishes.
Just make sure you get to it within an hour!
13-Hour Delay Timer
Who doesn’t love warm bread in the morning? The delay timer is great for throwing the ingredients together the night before, then waking up to delicious, freshly baked bread.
The option to delay the bake by 13 hours and keep the bread warm really make this the perfect machine for busy people who still want to enjoy homemade bread.
Although be warned that the noisy fruit and nut dispenser may wake you in the small hours of the morning if you live in a small apartment.
Rosewill Bread Maker Review
The Positives
The Rosewill RHBM-15001 definitely has a few features that really make it stand out, so let’s go through them.
Light But Sturdy
Though the machine is fairly small and lightweight, it’s not so light that it shifts a lot on the counter while kneading and mixing the dough, which can happen with a lot of smaller, cheap bread machines.
The size is also great if you are short on counter space, since the machine isn’t so bulky that it can’t easily blend in with your smaller kitchen.
The Price is a Bargain
There are a lot of machines on the market with similar settings and options, but the Rosewill RHBM-15001 costs quite a bit less than most of them.
That makes it ideal for those who want a great deal of flexibility from their machine, but aren’t able to afford the more costly options.
As we’ve mentioned a few times, the number of features and settings you’re getting with the Rosewill are really quite attractive for such a low price.
Easy to Use
It is a very easy machine to use and even the most culinary inept will be able to pop out a loaf with little difficulty.
Just remember to add the wet ingredients, then the dry, and then add your yeast. Most of the difficulties we saw users have with this machine is that they had mixed their ingredients when adding them to the machine — keep everything separate!
The LCD screen is clear and easy to read too, plus it’s a huge bonus to have the bake time displayed on the screen.
Clean up is no problem either: just sling the kneading blade and bread pan into the dishwasher!
The Negatives
As you might expect with such an ambitious yet cheap machine, there are a few flaws to the Rosewill programmable bread maker that are worth serious consideration before you decide to buy.
The Bread Can Get Stuck
The loaf usually doesn’t stick to the bread pan, thanks to its supposed “non-stick” design, but it does occasionally happen.
If it does, it’s best to use a spatula when you try to get a stuck loaf out of the pan. It can be tempting to use a knife or something metal, but if you do, you risk leaving scratches on the pan and destroying the non-stick surface even further.
Watch out for the kneading blade too. It can get stuck in the bottom of the bread when you remove it from the pan. Make sure it is out before you start to slice your bread.
Uneven Mixing
The singular kneading blade doesn’t always mix the ingredients evenly. We had to use a spatula to do some additional stirring on some of our loaves. This can also be a problem when fruits or nuts are added, but as long as you watch it, you can easily fix the problem before the bread bakes.
This problem is mentioned in the manual, so it seems to be something the company is aware of. Hopefully it will be improved in future models.
The Manual Isn’t Always Clear
Rosewill bread maker’s manual can be a little confusing at times, which can definitely lead to some frustration.
Some of the instructions look like they may have been written in a different language and then translated to English, so you can kind of grasp what is being described, but it takes some work.
The included recipes are also a little paltry — particularly the gluten free ones. We suggest researching your own online if you fancy experimenting.
The Dispenser Can Be Loud
As mentioned already. the fruit and nut dispenser can give you a little bit of a fright if you aren’t ready for it, since it’s loud when it adds your mix-ins during the baking cycle.
This shouldn’t be a problem if you’re baking during the day, although you might get a bit of a fright if you’ve used the delay function overnight…
Believe us.
Overall Verdict
If you’re looking for a cheap bread maker that’s capable of lots of different bake settings, including gluten free, then the Rosewill RHBM-15001 is more than worthy of your consideration.
Yes, it’s a flawed machine and not quite the set and forget machine that we’d choose with an unlimited budget, but it’s hard to argue with the low price.
It would definitely be a good match for a beginner baker who wants to dip their feet into baking bread but isn’t ready or able to buy a more expensive machine. Students, line up!

MBAH Verdict
The Rosewill bread maker is a very cheap machine that’s capable of creating a variety of different breads and baked treats — including gluten free!
It’s very easy to use and easy to clean, but there are some issues: the bread pan and kneading blade aren’t as non-stick as they should be and sometimes mixing isn’t thorough enough. It’s a good, low cost machine for beginners on a budget, however.
