Homgeek Home Bakery Features
19 Different Settings
With this machine, you definitely won’t find yourself getting bored from making the same thing over and over. The Homgeek bread maker offers an impressive 19 programmable settings!
These settings are:
- Basic Bread
- French Bread
- Whole-wheat Bread
- Sweet Bread
- Rice Bread
- Gluten-free Bread
- Quick Bread
- Sticky Rice
- Rice Wine
With unexpected options like yogurt, jam, and stir-fry you’re likely to find something tempting for even the pickiest eaters in your life. We were glad to see that they didn’t leave out a gluten-free setting either.
For an extra dose of variety, this machine offers three different crust settings: light, medium, and dark.
They also throw in a recipe book included with the instructions, so you don’t have to be an expert chef to know how to take advantage of all these options.
In case all those settings weren’t enough options for you, the Homgeek Home Bakery allows you to choose from three different loaf sizes: 1, 1.5, or 2 lbs.
If you’re really feeling hungry or have lots of guests to feed, the Homgeek bread maker can also make up to a 2.2lb loaf. This is an impressive capacity for a relatively light-weight machine like this one.
The range of loaf size options means that if you try out a recipe that turns out not to be for you, you don’t have to worry about throwing away lots of wasted food.
At the same time, if you find a recipe that you love, you can make a smaller portion for yourself, or you can make over 2 lbs of it and dish it out to your family and friends. Settings for every occasion!
Automatic or Manual Mode
The Homgeek Home Bakery allows you to either set it to manual mode and make sure the cooking process gets done just the way you like it, or set it to automatic and go about your other daily tasks.
This feature means that anyone will be able to use this machine, no matter how much experience they have in the kitchen.
Cooking novices are likely to find the automatic option helpful until they get the hang of handling more of the process on their own.
The manual and automatic modes also make this machine a good fit for families. With this feature, every member of the household can step into the kitchen and have a setting suited to their taste and skillset.
The bread pan and mixing blade of the Homgeek bread machine are made of high quality, food grade aluminum alloy.
As an extra bonus, both are non-stick coated, so you don’t have to stress about durability or spend a lot of time cleaning up after each use.
The motor is another plus – this machine runs on a low-noise DC motor, so no matter what time of the day (or night) you use it, you don’t have to worry about too much extra noise.
15 Hour Preset Timer and Keep-Warm Function
The Homgeek bread machine doesn’t require supervision in order to make you delicious food. In fact, the 15 hour preset function means you can pop in the ingredients in the evening and wake up the next day to breakfast already done.
It also has a keep-warm function that lasts up to an hour. This way, your food will still taste freshly cooked even if you don’t get to it right as it finishes.
Homgeek Home Bakery Bread Machine Review
Excellent Loaf Quality
The number one thing to find out before you buy a bread maker is how well it actually makes that bread.
We’re pleased to report that the Homgeek Home Bakery delivered delicious, light and fluffy loaves every single time. While we haven’t tried all of the settings yet, we were particularly impressed by the taste of the Basic, French and Whole Wheat loaves, as well as the jam.
Here’s a look at it in action:
Convenient and Easy to Use
It’s clear to us that the Homgeek bread maker was made with the convenience of its owner in mind.
If you plan on leaving the Homgeek bread maker to do its work overnight, the low-noise motor will make sure it doesn’t get in the way of you catching a full night’s sleep.
Not to mention, it features a large, easy-to-read digital display surrounded by clearly labeled touch buttons, which will definitely be helpful if you’re not familiar with machines like this.
Add to that the non-stick, easy-assembly parts and you’ve got a pretty user-friendly machine!
Huge Variety of Options
Between the 19 programmable settings, the different crust colors and loaf sizes, and manual and automatic mode, the Homgeek bread maker offers you over 300 different ways to prepare food.
That’s a seriously impressive number, even compared to some of the most expensive, high end bread machines on the market right now – and the Homgeek definitely has those beat in terms of price!
This also makes it a really good product for households that can’t seem to agree on taste, or people who want to change up their diet but don’t want to buy lots of new cooking equipment.
Extra Accessories Included
In addition to the machine itself, Homgeek Home Bakery package includes a few accessories.
Here’s what else you get with it:
- Manual with recipes included
- Measuring cup
- Measuring scoop
- Hooked fork
These extras ensure that you won’t have to get excited about one of the many recipes included with the manual, only to find that you don’t have the materials needed to make it. All you have to worry about is the ingredients!
As we mentioned earlier, this isn’t the cheapest home bread machine available right now, but it certainly isn’t the most expensive either!
A lot of similar machines for sale currently will cost you well over $100 or even $200, and the Homgeek is significantly cheaper than that.
At the same time, it doesn’t sacrifice quality. The Homgeek’s range of settings, 15-hour preset timer, and loaf capacity are all on par with its more pricey competitors.
This is a great option for people who want a high-quality machine but are on a budget.
For all its variety in the settings department, the Homgeek Home Bakery only gives you one choice in terms of color scheme: white, with a turquoise-blue display section.
While we didn’t especially mind the colors, we recognize that they can be a turn-off for those who are particular about the aesthetics of their kitchen.
Most similar machines come in unobtrusive neutral or metal tones that fit more easily into a variety of color schemes, meaning they will look right at home in almost any kitchen without clashing.
The Homgeek’s pop of blue is eye-catching, which can be problematic if this isn’t necessarily where you want your family or guests’ eyes to be drawn right away.
Some Minor Maintenance Issues
Despite how easy and convenient this product is to use, it has less of an edge in competing with similar products when it comes to how convenient it is to keep and maintain.
Some of the small parts it comes with – namely the hooked fork and the measuring spoon – are small and potentially very easy to misplace. This could contribute to some unwanted kitchen clutter, especially if things like a measuring cup and spoon are things you already keep around.
The seller also warns against accidentally installing the mixing blade so that the protruding part faces down, rather than up.
We didn’t find it particularly difficult to remember this and make sure the blade was put in the right way. Still, if this had slipped our mind and simply been installed wrong by accident, it could potentially have been a pretty disastrous mistake.
The Homgeek Home Bakery offers an incredible variety of options and is relatively easy on the wallet. Whether you want bread tomorrow morning, stir-fry later tonight, or almost anything in between, you can use the Homgeek bread machine to make that happen!
We’re not huge fans of the design and color scheme, but you can’t judge a bread machine by its cover. There’s no doubt that this Home Bakery creates delicious loaves and a variety of other treats to boot.
We highly recommend it.
Where to Buy the Homgeek Home Bakery Bread Machine
Despite the reasonable price and high quality of the Homgeek bread maker, we were surprised not to find it in more online stores.
Never fear though — it can be bought on Amazon.
